RSA Access Manager Server Installation

RSA Access Manager easily integrates with your existing IT environment to provide a dependable web access management and SSO solutions. The Access Manager user authorization and privilege management features securely control access to web applications within intranet, extranet, portals, and exchange infrastructures. Access Manager is a robust solution that has been designed for efficient administration, a satisfying user experience, and adaptability to unique business needs.


This Article introduces the overview of RSA Access Manager installation and configuration.



  Make sure the pre-requisites are installed successfully, before proceeding. Click Next


Accept the Agreement and click Next


Select ‘New’ OR ‘Upgrade’ and click ‘Install’.


Core components will be auto-selected, please select any optional components if required.
In this case, we are not installing any ‘Optional’ or ‘Applications’ components.
We will be installing Admin console and self-service console later.


Specify the installation path and JDK location and click Next.


Provide your own values (Within the range of 0 to 65535) for port or accept the default values and click Next.

Provide your own values (Within the range of 0 to 65535) for port and IP Address/Hostname values, 
accept the default values and click Next.

Select the data-store and click Next.



Provide the connection information of data-store and click Next.


Provide and Master Password, which will be used for encrypting configuration files.
Enable lockbox, provide name and passphrase and click Next.

 

Select required connection type and click Next.


Verify the values and click Install.



Click Done and close the installer.

Start the RSA Access Manager Servers
You must start the required Access Manager Servers in this order:
Note: If you have enabled the following optional servers to run, start them before starting the required Servers.
Make sure that your primary data store is running.
Make sure that you have a valid license.xml file in your AXM_HOME\conf directory.
Make sure that the Server configuration files (also in AXM_HOME\conf) are set correctly.

1. Log Server (optional, If Installed) - AXM_HOME\bin\lserver.bat start
2. Instrumentation Server (optional, If Installed) - AXM_HOME\bin\iserver.bat start
3. Dispatcher/Key Server - AXM_HOME\bin\dispatcher.bat start
4. Authorization Server - AXM_HOME\bin\aserver.bat start
5. Entitlements Server - AXM_HOME\bin\eserver.bat start
